I'm CRAZY!!??

Well, as you know, I'm set up for this full marathon in 2.5 weeks. I must either be crazy in need of therapy, depressed in need of an out, or just plain STUPID!! I just signed up for a half marathon 1 week prior to the full. I know that's the dumbest thing to do, plus I plan on trying to test and see how my fitness is on this half. I'm going to try and PR this race. I have nothing to lose but a poor showing in my full marathon. I pretty much dont care about the full anyways. I am using it to test how to actually RACE a marathon as opposed to running (jogging) to finish. I think the course is pretty flat, so I think I'll still do ok. In my initial full, I kept my 8-8:05 pace pretty well without much effort for a 3:34:xx, so I think I'll push for a 3:27:xx this time. Definitely will be sub 3:30 for my full in the fall. With 2 or 3 more under my belt, I'll then be aiming for Boston!!

No I'm not a glutton for pain, I just have high expectations of myself (realistic or not). But, barring any injury, I WILL be "racing" one day soon... I just gotta get some weight off, and I run on...

Hey DWW! I didn't actually take the picture of my team mate. That was from another race she had run prior to last weekend. I hope all is well w/ you!

I think you're just crazy. Oh boy, I hope that course is flat. I drove it in the car and, well, nothing looks hilly from the driver's seat at 45 mph. What time are you looking for at the half?

Oh yea, you're nuts! But in a good way. Don't break yourself before your time. Seriously be careful. I thought I left you a message on this post before, but maybe it didn't go through.

I think (hope) I can recover from a half in 1 week. I have to PR that run... this is my year to improve! If you dont hear from me the day after the full... u know what happened, LOL.
